I’ve been reading about the tragic fire on East 17th Avenue for years and wanted to focus on the aftermath for the families of the victims, particularly Alan Schlessman's loved ones. It's unimaginable what those families must be enduring, especially with so many questions still unanswered. From what I've gathered, Alan was a bright, talented young man who had a promising future ahead. Losing someone so full of potential is beyond devastating. The fact that the families still gather for memorials shows the strength of their bonds and the support from the community is heartening, yet it also highlights the gaping hole left by the lack of justice. I can only hope that the increased reward and efforts by crime stoppers might encourage someone with crucial information to finally come forward. It's been two decades, but these families deserve closure. If anyone in this community can shed light, however small, it could make all the difference. Let's keep the conversation alive so that those impacted by this tragedy might finally find some peace.

Hey everyone, I've been reading through the details of the tragic house fire on 64 East 17th Avenue and it just struck me how there were so many unanswered questions even after all these years. My heart truly goes out to the families and friends of Alan Schlessman and the other victims. It must be incredibly painful not knowing who was responsible for this senseless act. Something that's been bothering me is the origin of the fire near the front door. It seems odd, especially with so many people still inside the house at that time. It makes me wonder if someone was intentionally trying to trap everyone inside. Has anyone explored the possibility that maybe the arsonist was someone who attended the party? With a crowd that large and so close-knit around campus, it might have been someone who blended in easily with the others. It's devastating to think about how lives were cut short on what should have been a night of celebration. My thoughts are with the families who are left searching for justice, as they deserve answers and some form of closure. If anyone has more info or theories, I'm open to hearing them. Hopefully, with more awareness and continued effort, the person responsible will be found and held accountable.

Does anyone have more information on the fundraiser events that were organized after the 2003 house fire that claimed Alan Schlessman and the other students’ lives? I read somewhere that Central Ohio Crime Stoppers raised funds for an award aiming to encourage witnesses to come forward. I can’t help but think about the families affected by this tragic event and the community's effort to keep the case alive. It must be so difficult for them, especially since the case remains unsolved after all these years. If anyone attended any of these events or remembers how they were organized, I’m curious to know how they went and if the community is still actively involved in keeping this case in the public eye. It breaks my heart to think about the families still waiting for answers.
