I have been following this case for years. It is a very cold case but there are possibilities for closure. There really is! Cold cases get solved too. Science advances, people get hooked into stories, it happens. I am really hoping this is one of those cases someday.

Has anyone thought to reach out to the family and cross reference familial DNA, with the DNA of unidentified Chicago Illinois Serial Killer John Wayne Gacy's Victim # 13?

The area of where Craig Conner was hanging out, was also an area known to be frequented by Serial Killer John Wayne Gacy in the mid 1970's.

What was ever made of the receipt? Did it lead investigators to any leads? Does the jacket still exsist I wonder? If so, do the police have custody of it? Could new advances in forensic evidence retrivel, reveal any clues?

Somewhere out there, someone knows something. With all the advances in technology, maybe a second crack at this case from a fresh team of eyes will lead to more answers.

Don't give up hope. Never give up hope.

Those are some great questions. I think it would be really cool when a baby is born their DNA goes into a national database. I know this may seem like a huge overstep for some but think of the possible cases that could be solved. The genetic tracing alone would be awesome. Nobody could really be 'lost'. And just another deterrent for monsters not to act like monsters and try to get away with it.

Has anyone else looked into that peculiar detail about Craig's jacket being returned? I find it extremely odd that the piano instructor found it with a receipt dated two days after Craig disappeared. It's as if someone was deliberately trying to cover their tracks or perhaps send a message? Why would the jacket go missing in the first place and then magically reappear with a current receipt? This part of the case gives me chills. It makes me wonder if Craig was maybe planning something or met with someone he knew, and then things took a very wrong turn. Just feels like there's more to uncover here, especially given how crucial that jacket could be to tracing his last movements. Anyone have ideas on what that could mean or if similar things have happened in other cases?
Does anyone else find it odd that Craig's jacket was found with a receipt dated two days after he disappeared? It doesn't sit right with me. If Craig left voluntarily, why wouldn't he take his jacket, especially in October in Chicago when it's starting to get cold? And how did his piano instructor end up with the jacket and the receipt? The fact that the instructor returned it to Craig's apartment feels suspicious, considering their rumored disagreements over his taking lessons elsewhere. I can't shake the feeling that the instructor had more involvement than reported, even if he was never charged. What do you all think? Could this be a clue that leads somewhere, or just a strange coincidence?
