Does anyone else think it's strange how rarely we hear about plane disappearances over bodies of water like Lake Ontario? I know that the Pfaff case is an old one, but it still puzzles me. There were distress signals and everything. You'd think with today's technology we could have found some trace of the wreckage by now. I read somewhere that there have been several planes lost over the Great Lakes. Could there be something more going on here, or is it just that the vastness of the lake makes it nearly impossible to locate anything without precise coordinates? I can't shake the feeling that there's more to this story. Would love to hear any theories or similar cases, especially when it comes to search challenges in large bodies of water!
