Has anyone else come across the detail that Debra Vanessa Townsel may have used the alias "Denese Thompson"? I find it intriguing and wonder if it might hold a key to unraveling her case. Why would she use an alias at that time? It makes me question if she might have been trying to protect herself from someone or something specific. It's been over 40 years, and there’s still so little to go on regarding her personal life. Does anyone know if investigators have looked into people or relationships associated with that alias? It might be a long shot, but sometimes small leads like this can lead to important revelations. I'm hoping someone out there might have more insight or information. Every small detail could help piece together Debra's story and finally bring some answers to her family. Anyone with additional knowledge or thoughts on this?

I've been diving into some older missing persons cases and came across Debra Vanessa Townsel's case today. It's baffling how there seems to be so little information out there about what happened to her. One thing I found particularly interesting is the alias "Denese Thompson" that she may have used. Does anyone know if this alias led to any investigative avenues or if it just added more confusion? With so many cases, aliases can either be a breadcrumb or a dead end, and in this instance, it seems to have just added another layer of mystery. Also, do we have any idea why her case didn't get more media attention back in the 1980s? It often seems like cases from that era involving young women of color didn’t receive the same urgency or coverage as others did. Curious if anyone here knows of similar cases where aliases played a part or whether anyone has insights on how that might have played into the investigation in her case.
