I’ve been digging into the strange case of Stanley Galbreath, particularly the timeline on the day he vanished. What's odd is how his truck was spotted sideswiping other vehicles in Wichita after he deviated from his route. I’m curious about whether there were any traffic cameras in the area that might have captured footage of the driver.
Back in 1980, I know that camera technology wasn’t what it is today, but you’d think there’d be some record in police logs or a note of any additional eyewitness accounts. The erratic driving suggests the possibility of a struggle, but it’s also puzzling how the truck managed to simply disappear after being seen by so many. Could the missing meat be connected to someone familiar with his route or was this just a crime of opportunity?
Also, does anyone know if the truck was checked for fingerprints or any other forensic evidence beyond what’s been shared publicly? It might be a long shot, but even the smallest detail could offer new perspectives. Would love to hear any insights others might have on how a case like this would’ve been investigated back then, especially given the blood found inside the truck.
