Has anyone else been curious about the location where Edna's car was found? I did a bit of digging, and it seems like the road near Willard, New Mexico, isn't heavily traveled. It makes you wonder why the car was left there. Maybe it was a place Edna was familiar with, or maybe it was chosen deliberately because it was so remote. What puzzles me even more is the fact that her purse was found a mile away from the car two years later! That distance seems significant—enough that it raises questions about what might have happened during those two years. Was there a chance that she might have been trying to signal for help? Anyone with knowledge of the area have thoughts on whether it could hold more clues?
I've been digging around some of the information about Edna Luella Reynolds and something that's bothering me is the discovery of her purse. The fact that it was found a full mile away from her abandoned car—isn't that kind of strange? It makes me wonder why she would leave the purse behind if she was just stepping away from her vehicle for a bit. Did she voluntarily walk that far, or was she taken there by someone else? The area where her purse was found... has there been any more insight or exploration of that location since the hunters discovered it? Given how remote it is, unsettling how such a critical clue ultimately led nowhere. Anyone know if there were any searches in that one-mile radius after the purse was found? Just curious if anyone has come across old news reports or anything like that.
Hey everyone, I’ve been going down the rabbit hole with Edna Reynolds' case, and something keeps nagging at me. The fact that her purse was found a mile from her abandoned car in Willard, NM—what do y’all think about that? How does a personal item like a purse end up that far from her vehicle?
It makes me wonder if she walked away from the car willingly or if someone moved it later. Could there have been another vehicle involved? Maybe she accepted a ride, thinking she’d be safe, and then something went awry? It just seems weird for a purse to be that far out unless it was deliberately moved or there was some sort of struggle.
I don’t know if the police went over the area with a fine-tooth comb back then, but I’d love to hear any theories or if there are other cases with similar patterns that might shed some light on this type of scenario. What do you guys think?
