Has anyone else looked into the possibility of Mary Everette Harrison's disappearance being linked to someone who might have known her situation well enough to exploit it? I find it odd that she left her purse and the new clothes—it doesn't fit the pattern of someone planning to vanish on their own. Also, considering she had no car, it's likely someone could have picked her up. It makes me wonder if anyone in their neighborhood on Shell Road saw anything unusual that evening? Sometimes, small things that seemed insignificant at the time can shed light on what really happened. If anyone has any local knowledge or remembers something from 1982 that seemed off, it could be worth discussing.
I’ve been digging through old records and articles about Mary Everette Harrison’s disappearance, and something struck me as weird. The fact that Mary left behind not just her purse but also new clothes—the kind she would have needed if she had planned to skip town—raises all sorts of questions. It's almost as if she vanished in the middle of her plans for something. Could her leaving the clothes behind mean she intended to return, or was she forced to leave in a hurry, unable to gather her things? Considering her history with drugs and the allegations of abuse, is it possible she was involved with dangerous people who might have harmed her? I wonder if law enforcement could have missed some local connection. Does anyone know if locals back then might have had theories that weren’t widely publicized?
