I've been thinking a lot about the community's role in cases like Leo Yu's. It's truly sad to think about how many people might have seen something but are too scared to come forward. I understand everyone wants to feel safe, but it's devastating that fear overrides justice. Just imagining the pain Leo's family goes through every day knowing his case is still unsolved is heavy. If even one person who knows something found the courage to speak up, it might change everything. The police can only do so much without leads, so maybe community-led initiatives or anonymous tip lines could be a step in the right direction to getting these cold cases moving again. Does anyone know if there are efforts like that happening in SF?
