Has anyone looked into the possibility that Peggy could have left with someone familiar but not necessarily a friend? I was digging through some old news articles and noted that around the time Peggy disappeared, there were several reports of a suspicious vehicle seen in High Ridge. It’s a long shot, but maybe someone was targeting young women and trying to lure them away. Given that she was close to her 18th birthday, perhaps she was promised something enticing, like a job or a fresh start, but it ended up being a dangerous situation. Just thinking about those burn scars on her left bicep—any chance that was a mark from a previous encounter or situation that might offer clues as to who she was hanging around with? Anyone else come across similar theories or information?
Has anyone noticed the lack of media coverage on Peggy Lynn Alt's case? I understand it's an older case, but it feels like it never got the attention it deserved, even back in 1985. I've read that missing persons cases involving teenagers were often treated as runaways back then, which might explain why there wasn't a big push for media exposure. I wonder if more spotlight would have prompted someone to come forward with valuable information. Also, has anyone found any old newspaper archives that might show how it was reported at the time? It's frustrating to think valuable leads might have gone cold due to limited awareness. Hoping someone out there remembers something!
I came across an old article and started wondering about the small details in Peggy Lynn Alt's case. One thing that struck me was the burn scar on her left bicep. It’s such a unique identifier. I’m curious if anyone has thoughts on whether this detail could've helped in identifying her over the years. Maybe it's just me, but with so many missing person cases, small identifiers like scars might be overlooked or forgotten as time passes. I wonder if there were ever any efforts to circulate this specific detail more broadly in places like hospitals or clinics, just in case she ever sought medical assistance somewhere without revealing her identity. What do you guys think? Could this have been a missed opportunity, or is it something that the investigators might have pursued quietly without much public knowledge?
