I’ve been following James Elworth Craven's case for a while, and something that keeps puzzling me is the discovery of his car at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. It was found just a few days after his disappearance. Why would he leave his car at an airport if he wasn't planning to fly? Or did he maybe have a meeting there? Was he possibly trying to throw someone off his trail?
It feels like there’s more significance to this location than meets the eye. There are no records showing he purchased a plane ticket, so it just doesn’t add up. Someone must have seen him there or noticed the car being left behind. I keep thinking maybe there are overlooked security logs or camera footage from that time that could offer clues. Anyone have any insights or thoughts on why the airport might have been involved?
Has anyone looked into whether James Elworth "Flop" Craven had any connections to employees or frequent travelers through Charlotte Douglas International Airport? Considering his car was found there, it seems like an odd choice unless there was a reason for him to be at the airport. It's such a busy place with so many people coming and going—maybe there's a lead there that was overlooked. If he mentioned going to multiple places, could he have had plans to meet someone who worked or was traveling from there? It might be a long shot, but airports can be full of secrets. Just wondering if there are any more threads to pull on this angle or if it's all been exhausted over the years.
Hi everyone,
I’ve been following the James "Flop" Craven case for a while now and something keeps bugging me - his car was left at Charlotte Douglas Airport. Why there? I've been thinking, could he have been planning to catch a flight somewhere? Did anyone ever check the flight manifests from that time? It's such a busy place, even in the '80s, so maybe he got on a plane or someone intended for it to look that way. It's baffling that this lead didn’t turn up more information. Does anyone know if this angle was thoroughly investigated? I feel like it could hold a big clue as to what really happened. Any thoughts or insights would be appreciated!
Thanks.
