I've been following the Juan Roman case, and I just keep thinking about those poor families who have to relive their loss every time there's a fresh appeal for information. It must be incredibly difficult for Juan's loved ones to have so few answers even now. I wonder if maybe some people in the community are scared to come forward with information, fearing retaliation or something. It's so crucial that we break through that barrier; perhaps increased anonymity for witnesses could help? If anyone here is local to Long Beach, maybe they could share how the police have been handling community outreach and what more could be done to provide a safer environment for sharing info. My thoughts are with everyone affected.
