Has anyone else looked into the geography of the area around Lake Leelanau during the time of David Bruce Rea's disappearance? I find it interesting that he was last seen walking away from his house. What paths might he have taken? The area has a lot of dense forests and trails, and I'm curious whether these factors were considered thoroughly in the initial search efforts. It seems like there could be a lot of ground to cover, especially back in '85 when resources and search methods were perhaps less advanced. Anyone familiar with the local terrain or history who can offer insight? It might provide useful context or lead to unanswered questions in the investigation.

Has anyone else looked into the area where Bruce was last seen walking? I'm wondering if there were any significant landmarks or places he liked to visit nearby. It's been so many years, but sometimes it's the details of personal routines or habits that can help spark a memory or lead to a fresh perspective. I know the investigators would have covered a lot back then, but given how much can change over decades, maybe revisiting those local spots might reveal something new. If anyone has local knowledge of Lake Leelanau or the trails around there from the '80s, it might be worth sharing.

Hey everyone, I’ve been looking into the David Bruce Rea case recently and came across something that piqued my interest. One thing I've been wondering about is the timing of David leaving his residence. Has there ever been any speculation about why he left at that particular time on December 2, 1985? Was it something he commonly did or was it out of the ordinary for him? I know it's been over 30 years, but sometimes looking at these small details can spark new ideas or memories for those who might know something. Even after all this time, might someone in the community remember seeing him or something out of the ordinary on that day? It just seems odd to me why there haven’t been any further insights from people in the area at the time. Any thoughts or theories?
