Hey everyone, I've been looking into the mysterious disappearance of Gary Hayward from back in 1987. One thing that caught my attention is the last place he was seen—Poipu Shores Bar. It's kind of eerie to think about what could have happened after he left for his swimming plans. I know the local area is popular for night swimming, but what were the currents like that night, and did anyone else swim with him or possibly see him after? I'm also curious if there was any follow-up with the bar staff or regulars who might have been there that evening. It’s like he disappeared into thin air, and it must have been terrifying for his friends and family to get no answers all these years. If anyone has more insights into that night or knows the history of reports from the area, your input could be really helpful!
