I was doing some digging on Thoms’s case and noticed something intriguing. I read that Fred Bowers, the guy charged with his murder, was actually already known to law enforcement back in the late 80s for other incidents around Phoenix. It makes me wonder if there are any connections or if anyone else from that time might come forward with more information. Does anyone know if there were reports of similar robberies or suspicious activities in the area around the time Thoms went missing? Maybe we could piece together more about what was going on back then. Sometimes local knowledge can be key!

Hi everyone. I've been following Thoms's case for a while and something that's been on my mind is the location where he was last seen—north 73rd Avenue and west McDowell Road in Phoenix. Does anyone here know what that area was like back in 1987? I know cities can change a lot over the years, and I'm curious if it was a high-crime area back then or just a random place for someone to disappear. I've wondered if the choice of location says anything about the suspect or the nature of this case. If anyone has insights or local knowledge, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Hey everyone, Has anyone looked into Fred Bowers' background in relation to other missing person cases in Arizona around that time? I find it intriguing that it took over 30 years for him to be charged with Thoms's murder, but there seems to be no public info on how they managed to connect him to the crime after all these years. I wonder if there might be some advancements in forensic technology that helped crack this open? Or maybe someone finally came forward with new information? It's puzzling that they haven't shared any details about the evidence. Anyone else have theories or insights on this? Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!
