Does anyone else feel for Dwayne Burg's family having to wait so long for justice? It's a relief the right people were held accountable in the end, but imagine carrying that uncertainty for years. I'm amazed by the strength of Dwayne Jr. and Torrance, who were able to recognize and identify their father's killer on a random news broadcast. It's a testament to their resilience and determination not to let this case remain cold. But it also raises questions about the pressure and weight on eyewitnesses in such emotionally charged situations. For Dwayne Jr. to see Theron Lewis on TV and know, without a doubt, that he was looking at the man who took his father away? That must have been haunting. My heart goes out to them and the rest of the family, and I'm in awe of their courage throughout this ordeal. Witness testimony can be such a tricky area in these cases. Does anyone know if the family got any support to help navigate the legal process, or was it mostly them driving it forward?

Does anyone else find it astonishing how Dwayne Jr. recognized Theron Lewis on a news broadcast two years after the crime? It’s almost surreal to think that a chance moment like that could lead to a breakthrough in such a tragic case. I can’t imagine the flood of emotions he must have felt, seeing that familiar face tied to such a painful memory. It’s a testament to the importance and power of witness memory, but also a reminder of the burden it places on victims' families. Huge respect to the Burg family for their perseverance and courage in seeking justice. Thoughts?
