Did anyone else catch the part about James Hysong not filing a flight plan before he took off? That's super unusual for a seasoned pilot, right? Especially when you’re going for something like a certified flight instructor test. Makes me wonder if he was planning something he didn’t want tracked. I’ve also read about cases where pilots went off course either due to mechanical issues or medical emergencies. But then why continue over Lake Michigan? I know there’s the angle about selling the aircraft, but wouldn’t it be super difficult to pull off with a plane like that and without any connections? Even weirder are those reports of the tail number popping up elsewhere. It’s like the plane just vanished into thin air. What do you all think? Could it have been a deliberate disappearance or maybe something more sinister?
Hey everyone,
I've been digging into James Hysong's case, and something intriguing caught my attention. I was checking out some old news articles and found a mention that the Piper Cherokee Arrow's tail number popped up in a few states after the disappearance. It got me wondering—how reliable are these sightings? Are these mistakes common, like people misreporting similar tail numbers, or could they provide legitimate leads? I know it's a long shot, but maybe someone out there has experience with aircraft tracking or has seen similar cases before. It’s strange that only the number seems to show up without any other concrete leads. Would love to hear any thoughts or insights you all might have.
