Did anyone else find it strange that no one reportedly saw John William Crary after he left his home? It's like he vanished without a trace. I wonder if his Parkinson's made it difficult for him to reach out or get help if something unexpected happened. Living with a condition like that must have been challenging, and it might have made him more vulnerable to various risks. It's so disconcerting how someone can be such a part of a community and then abruptly disappear. If anyone has any theories or knows more about his daily routine, it could shine some light on what might have transpired that day. Let's keep this case alive and hope more information comes to light soon.

I've been following the John William Crary case for a while now, and something that's always puzzled me is his route. If he left on foot at 4:30 PM, where was he headed? Some locals mentioned he used to enjoy walking around various trails in the area, but wouldn't that be challenging with his Parkinson's? Could he have been going towards a familiar spot or someone he knew? With the sun setting around 8 PM in April, he had a good three and a half hours of daylight left, but it's still odd that no one reported seeing him if he was more than just a few blocks from home. What are everyone's thoughts on possible routes he could have taken or spots he might have been aiming for? Has anyone here ever walked those paths who can give some insight?

Does anyone remember the efforts from the local search parties back in '93 when John William Crary vanished? I stumbled across an old newspaper article discussing the volunteer groups that swept through the wooded areas around Arapeka trying to find him. It mentioned folks from neighboring towns pitching in to help, which shows just how much this disappearance affected the whole community. Given Crary's Parkinson's condition, it's hard to imagine the stress and urgency that everyone must have felt searching those dense woods and marshlands. It's incredible how a small town can rally together in times of crisis, but equally disheartening that even with all that effort, no solid leads ever emerged. Do we know if there have been any organized searches or memorials since then? It's been a long time, but someone out there must remember something from those days that could be useful.
