Hey everyone, I've been diving into the Harry Lewis Israel case from '96, and one detail that keeps bugging me is the repairman's visit the morning he vanished. I've been trying to find more info on this repair guy — like, was he ever identified publicly or interviewed further? Given that the carpet stains pushed them toward foul play, it'd be interesting to know if he mentioned seeing or hearing anything unusual while he was at the house. Could he have unwittingly seen the suspect or someone linked to Harry’s disappearance? Maybe he noticed something odd but didn’t think much of it at the time. Anyone else curious about this angle or have more insights?
Has anyone ever looked into the possibility of a connection between Harry's foot injury and his disappearance? It seems odd to me that someone with recent mobility issues would just vanish without a trace, especially when he was known to drive even short distances due to his condition. Could his injury have left him vulnerable somehow? Maybe someone took advantage of his limited mobility. I wonder if the repairman who saw him last noticed any struggle or if Harry mentioned any concerns. It's just baffling that someone can disappear so completely from their own home. Thoughts?
Has anyone looked into the background of Edward William Vanderbilt? I'm wondering if there are any connections between him and similar incidents in the area. It's strange that someone living such a consistent life like Mr. Israel would disappear suddenly, and with the bloodstained carpet found in his home, it's hard not to suspect foul play. But why him? And why then? If Vanderbilt was indeed involved, what could have driven him to potentially commit such a heinous act? Could there be others with motives against Mr. Israel that we're missing here? It's been so many years, yet it feels like there's a piece of the puzzle that's still out there, waiting to be uncovered. Maybe someone with a fresh perspective or local knowledge can shed some light on this?
