Hey everyone, I've been digging into the David Barnes case and something that's been nagging me is the timeline around when Martin Lewis moved into Barnes's apartment. It's so odd to me that Barnes would offer his estranged grandson a place to stay after presumably little to no contact. Was there any mention from the family about the nature of their relationship before this, or any specific reason Barnes would suddenly open his home to him? It almost feels like there must have been some underlying reason for the invite, considering how it all panned out with the forgery and everything. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but it's an aspect I find puzzling, especially since there doesn't seem to be much background on their relationship before Lewis moved in. Would love to hear your thoughts or any information that might shed light on this!
