I’ve been looking into Jay Kovitch’s case for a while now, and something that sticks with me is the weather conditions that night. I really wonder how much that heavy rain affected the whole situation. It must have been nearly impossible for the driver to see more than a few feet ahead. That being said, it’s baffling how no evidence turned up despite the involvement of multiple investigative teams. I can't help but think about Jay's family and friends living with an unanswered question every single day. It’s unbearable to think this case is still unsolved after all these years. If someone was out there and knows anything, even just a small detail, speaking up could make all the difference. Thinking of Jay’s loved ones and hoping they get some closure soon.
Just learned about the tragic death of Jay Kovitch in that hit-and-run incident back in 2010. Can’t imagine the pain his family must still be feeling, knowing they haven't had closure all these years. The rainy night probably made it much harder for anyone to have seen anything or even realized what had happened. It’s so frustrating to think that someone out there knows something and hasn’t come forward yet.
I'm wondering if there have been any attempts to use newer technologies, like enhanced mapping or data collection from nearby devices, to revisit the scene? Maybe an outreach to local businesses that could've developed their surveillance systems since then might add some new angles to check. Just hoping any small detail could finally come to light and help bring some peace to those who cared for Jay. Anyone with more insight on recent developments in tech being used in these cold cases, please share!
