I’ve been following Boykin's case, and one detail that has always struck me is how he was found in the front seat of his van. Was the van his place of refuge or comfort, especially since it seemed to be his last connection to mobility after his paralysis? It feels so tragic to think that a place that perhaps symbolized freedom to him became the scene of his death. There’s also the question of how someone managed to overpower him, especially considering his condition. It makes me think about whether the person responsible was someone he knew or even trusted enough to let them get close. My heart goes out to Boykin’s family, especially his daughter who moved back to rekindle her relationship with him—it must be incredibly hard to deal with losing him in such a violent way. I really hope the detectives get a breakthrough soon for the family's sake. It's hard to believe there’s still no closure for them.
