Has anyone else looked into the sea conditions at Wright's Beach on the day Alexandra went missing? I was curious about rogue waves—apparently, they're not just freak occurrences but can happen with little warning even on seemingly calm days. It makes me wonder about the safety measures in place back then or if there was anything more the park could have done to warn families. It's devastating how something so sudden can change everything in a matter of moments. If anyone has resources or old weather reports from January 17, 2002, or info on how rogue waves have been studied since, I'd be interested in learning more.

Has anyone ever heard of or seen a case where a rogue wave was involved besides Alexandra's? I hadn't even realized that such things were common on the California coast until I read about this incident. It's shocking to think something so sudden and powerful could just sweep a child away in mere seconds. I remember going to beaches as a kid and my parents constantly warning me about staying too close to the water, but I never thought much of it. This story really brings those memories and warnings into perspective. I just can't imagine what it must have been like for her family that day. Would love to hear if anyone's got similar stories or knows more about these unexpected dangers on the coastline.

I recently read about Alexandra Marie Flores, and what caught my attention was the unpredictable nature of rogue waves. It's chilling to think about because these waves can appear out of nowhere, even on seemingly calm days. Her disappearance at Wright’s Beach serves as a stark reminder of how deceptive the ocean can be. I wonder if there are any new safety measures on that beach now or if they have warning systems for rogue waves. With so many people visiting these beautiful locations, awareness and precaution should be a top priority. Do any locals know if changes have been made over the years to improve safety there?
