Hey everyone,
I've been following Alvante Pitts' case and I'm struck by the role community plays in these situations. It got me thinking about how tight-knit communities often know more than they might initially share with the authorities. Sometimes it's out of fear, and other times it might be about loyalty to friends or family.
Dayton has always seemed like one of those places where people watch each other's backs. I just keep wondering how many people might have seen or heard something that day but haven't come forward for various reasons. Alvante’s family deserves to know what happened, and it's frustrating to think that there might be people out there who can help make that happen but haven't spoken up.
For anyone living in Dayton or familiar with the area near Rosedale Avenue and West Riverview Drive, if you remember anything from that day, no matter how insignificant it seems, please share it with the police or even anonymously if need be. Alvante’s family is still in pain, and any piece of information might be the key to finally solving this case.
Sending love and strength to Alvante’s family and friends. ? It’s really important for us all to rally around them in any way we can.
