I've been thinking about how the isolated setting of Fishers Island might have affected the search efforts for Isle Sorensen. Being such a small and remote community would have definitely brought everyone together quickly to look for her. But did that isolation also create certain blind spots? The fact that it's a tight-knit place can lead to assumptions—like not suspecting a local because everyone knows everyone, right? I wonder if any fresh eyes ever looked at the investigation, maybe a cold case specialist from the mainland with a different perspective. Sometimes, it's that kind of outside view that spots something others might have missed. Does anyone know if the authorities ever brought in someone like that to take another look?
