It's been almost 11 years since Jameela Hasan was tragically taken from us, and her case remains unsolved. It's so distressing to think about the safety of the neighborhood and these unresolved cases. I live not too far away, and I remember the fear that gripped the community around East 93rd Street during that time. None of us can imagine what Jameela's family must be going through, not having closure or justice for all these years. I'm hoping that someone, somewhere knows something that can help. It's important we keep discussing these cases and sharing any new info in hopes that justice will eventually prevail. To Jameela's family and friends, we haven't forgotten; the community stands with you.
