I’ve been following Christopher Dickinson's case for a while now, and something that's always puzzled me is the state they found the boat in. The ladder being down suggests someone might have gone for a swim. But if both men went into the water voluntarily, it's strange that neither of them managed to get back to the boat. Considering they were on Lake Mendota, which isn’t the ocean, one would think they could swim back if they encountered any trouble. Did anyone ever look into possible issues with the boat itself? Like a mechanical failure that could explain why they couldn't get back in? It's troubling that Christopher has still not been found, and it just makes the whole situation more perplexing. Does anyone here know if the boat was thoroughly examined during the investigation?
Hi everyone,
I've been following Christopher Dickinson's case for some time now, and something that's always puzzled me is the state in which the boat was found. The detail about the ladder being down seems significant to me. It suggests that they might've been swimming, which could've led to a tragic accident. But I can't help but wonder if there's another explanation. Could it be possible that they were both trying to help each other back into the boat and got caught in unforeseen trouble? It's strange how these small details can hold so much weight when everything else is a mystery.
Has anyone come across similar cases where the ladder position significantly changed the course of an investigation? Would love to hear your thoughts!
I’ve been following the Christopher Dickinson case, and something that piques my curiosity is the state of the boat when it was found. The ladder being down suggests they might have been swimming, but wouldn't they have left at least one of their cell phones or wallets on shore if that was the plan? Also, has there been any discussion on possible mechanical issues with the boat? Even minor malfunctions could have played a role in this tragic event. I’m not trying to speculate too much, but it seems strange, considering the lake conditions that day were pretty calm from what I’ve read. Would love to hear thoughts from others who might have boating experience!
