Has anyone else been thinking about the ripple effect Javier's death had on the Youth ALIVE! program and the community? I mean, he was living proof that positive mentorship can steer young lives towards a better path. It's incredibly sad that someone trying to make a difference got caught in this cycle of violence. For those working in these programs or who've been a part of them, how do you keep pushing forward when things like this happen? It must be such a tough spot to be in—seeing progress and hope yet facing setbacks like losing someone you’ve mentored. I feel for all those who knew and supported him; staying hopeful under such circumstances is their true challenge. ???
