Did anyone else notice the peculiar detail about Edward Ratynski not owning a vehicle? Given his fondness for fishing, it seems odd that he'd venture out on foot to check the ice at Conklin Pond, especially in December when the weather could be harsh. Fallsburg isn't exactly a bustling city, so transportation could be vital for someone moving around in these areas. Makes me wonder if he often walked long distances or if someone might have given him a lift that day. It might be a clue worth digging into, considering how this detail could easily slip under the radar in missing persons investigations. Has anyone local heard rumors of him hitching rides frequently or seen anything unusual on that date around La Vista Drive?

Does anyone else find it odd that Edward Ratynski's case just went cold so quickly? I mean, he was last seen about to check the ice at Conklin Pond, and that was it. With no vehicle and no bank activity, it feels like he just vanished without a trace. You'd think there'd be some evidence around the pond if that was his destination. I understand he was new to the boarding house, but did any of the other residents notice anything unusual leading up to his disappearance? It's like the whole thing just slipped under the radar. I keep wondering if there was something significant about the pond area that investigators might have missed. Anyone else have thoughts on this?
