Has anyone come across Gerald "Jerry Bones" Rihlmann during the holiday season back in 2007? I know it's been quite some time, but I find it strange that he disappeared right after contacting EMS on Christmas Day. It makes me wonder if someone out there saw him and possibly interacted with him that day. Gerald had a unique look with all those tattoos and the scars, so if anyone remembers anything odd or unusual in the areas of Linden, Rahway, Elizabeth, or Roselle around that time, it might be worth revisiting. I'm hoping someone might recall something that could offer some new leads. Please share anything you might have heard or seen. We really need more eyes on Gerald's case.
I just stumbled across Gerald Rihlmann's case, and something really stood out to me: the nickname "Jerry Bones." It's kind of a unique moniker, right? It got me thinking about how street names or nicknames can be both helpful and problematic in missing persons cases. On one hand, they're distinctive and might trigger someone's memory if they hear it. On the other hand, people might not know the person's real name if they're only referred to by a nickname. I wonder if authorities or those searching ever tried tapping into any local community groups or shelters with the name "Jerry Bones" to see if that triggered any leads. With the networks we form, especially around people experiencing homelessness, nicknames might circulate more than we think. Anyone else know if nicknames have ever played a role, good or bad, in other missing persons cases?
Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about Gerald "Jerry Bones" Rihlmann's case. Have any of you looked into the areas he's known to visit? Like, could someone with a similar appearance or story be out there and just not know people are looking for him? I keep wondering if perhaps there's a community or place these guys gather where he might be or someone might have seen him. You know how these urban areas have spots where the homeless congregate for support? Maybe someone who might not typically speak to authorities could have seen him. I keep coming back to the idea that he was familiar with those neighborhoods, so surely someone out there has some piece of the puzzle. If anyone here from around Linden or Rahway knows of places like this, maybe we could dig a bit deeper into this angle?
