I was reading about the tragic case of Helen Shreve, and it’s hard not to think about the sense of fear her community must have felt back in 2014. Franklinton had been going through such a rough time with a string of violent incidents, and Helen's death really underscores how deeply the issue of rising crime affected people's sense of safety. I feel for her family and everyone in that neighborhood; it must have been terrifying not knowing if the violence would strike again or if justice would ever come. If anyone knows anything, even something that might seem insignificant, please consider sharing it with the authorities. It could mean so much to Helen's loved ones who remain hopeful for answers.

I just keep thinking about Helen Shreve's case and the impact it's had on those close to her and the community. It's so unsettling to know that this happened right here in Franklinton and still remains unsolved. I drive by that intersection often, and it's hard not to feel a chill knowing what happened there. I can't begin to imagine the pain her family and friends must feel every day, living with unanswered questions. It's so important for anyone who might know something, even if it seems small, to come forward. Sometimes the smallest detail can be crucial. Let's hope that justice is on the horizon for Helen and those who loved her.

I've been thinking a lot about the unsolved case of Helen Shreve. I lived in Columbus around that time, and it’s haunting to know something so awful could happen in a place that's supposed to be safe. I can't stop imagining what her family must be going through, knowing her killer is still out there. It's been nearly a decade now, and yet, no justice. I often wonder if there might have been someone nearby that night who might have seen something strange but didn't realize its significance at the time. So many of us can walk the same streets and notice different things. I hope people think back to that night and anything that might have seemed off. Even the smallest detail could start something moving in the right direction for Helen's case. Sending thoughts to her loved ones and hoping for closure soon.
