On October 29, 2014, 28-year-old Helen Shreve was shot and killed in Columbus, Ohio. The incident took place early in the morning in the Franklinton neighborhood, near the intersection of West Town Street and South Yale Avenue. Officers found Shreve lying in the street just after 1:30 a.m., suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. She was rushed to Mount Carmel West Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries later that day at 8:48 p.m.
