Hey everyone, I've been diving deep into the Michael DeWitt Mayes case and I stumbled across something curious. I read that Michael had some pretty distinct scars, including on his forehead and upper lip. Do any of you think there could be a significance to these scars? Maybe they're tied to his past in a way that could give us more insight into what might have happened to him. Were these from an accident or something else entirely? Also, if anyone recalls a description based on his physical features around that time, it might help jog some memories. I wonder if the scars make him stand out more or if they've hindered efforts in locating him, whether it be due to recognition or misidentification. It's compelling to think about how small details like these could potentially lead to new developments in his case. What's everyone else's take?

Does anyone here know if Michael Mayes had any friends or local connections who could fill in some gaps about his life before he went missing? It seems like there hasn't been much focus on who he might have been spending time with around the time of his disappearance. I wonder if any of them noticed him acting differently or knew of any plans he might have been hinting at before he vanished. It’s strange that someone can just disappear into thin air without someone else noticing something weird, right? If anyone has insight on who he interacted with, it might help piece together what happened.
