Has anyone else looked into the odd weather patterns around New Bern around the time Samuel Bell vanished? I came across an old newspaper article that mentioned some severe storms hitting the area on September 3, 2009. I can't help but wonder if the harsh weather could have played a role somehow. Maybe he got caught up in something while trying to shelter from the storm. It's frustrating that there are so few leads in this case, and small details like this seem to slip through the cracks. Just putting it out there in case it jogs anyone's memory or connects some dots for those more familiar with the area and the circumstances.
