Hi everyone,
I've been following Janelle Sanger-Garza's case and something that's been on my mind is the community's role in keeping the momentum of such cases alive. Morganfield seems like a close-knit town, and the support the family has received over the years speaks volumes about how much Janelle was loved. I think it's really incredible how they've organized events and vigils not only to remember her but also to keep the pressure on for answers.
I'm curious if anyone here has seen other communities do similar things to help with missing persons cases? It seems like such a powerful way to show solidarity and remind investigators that the case matters to so many people, even after all this time. If sharing what works in one community can help another, I think we should spread those ideas! Thoughts?
I was revisiting Janelle's case recently and got curious about that social event she was heading to the night she disappeared. Does anyone know if it was a regular hangout spot for her? Was she meeting a group of friends, or did she leave home planning to meet with someone specific? I feel like understanding the social settings she was comfortable in might shine some light on where to direct attention, especially if any acquaintances from these events have been overlooked. It’s so important to revisit the details because, even after all this time, something seemingly small might connect the dots in a new way. Anyone else have thoughts on this angle or remember any details from locals about that night?
