I've been following the case of Donte Moorer and Janelle Reese and can't help but think about the impact this tragedy must have had on the neighborhood. South Linden is known as a tight-knit community, and it must have been terrifying and surreal for residents to realize such violence happened so close to home. I can’t imagine walking past that house on E 19th Avenue, knowing two lives were taken there. Has there been any community gathering or outreach program since then to address safety concerns in the area? It seems like fostering trust and communication among residents could be key in moving forward while also encouraging folks who might know something to share information. My heart goes out to the families and everyone affected by this. Community safety should always be a priority, and it’s frustrating when a case like this stays unsolved. Hoping justice comes soon.
