Has anyone looked into the possibility that Mark Mayo might have been picked up by a truck driver and taken across state lines without realizing it due to his potential amnesia? I've read about other cases where disoriented individuals have ended up far from where they vanished, sometimes unknowingly becoming part of other communities under a different identity. Since surveillance didn't capture him leaving the truck stop through the front, exiting with a trucker could explain the lack of sightings afterward. It’s a long shot, but maybe trucking companies could provide some insight or leads if drivers remember picking someone up around that time. Thoughts?

Has anyone else looked into the possibility of amnesia in Claxton Mark Mayo's case? I was reading about how serious head injuries can sometimes lead to a fugue state where people lose their memory and even start new lives. Given that he'd just been in a major accident, there's a real chance he might not even know who he is or that people are looking for him. It’s baffling that no one saw him leave the truck stop, but if he wandered off in a confused state or got a ride with someone who didn’t realize he was missing, it might explain why there have been no credible sightings. Are there any cases where people have been found years later in similar situations, especially after having severe head trauma? I’d love to hear more from anyone with insights on this.
