Has anyone else been curious about the safety measures on that boat? I mean, it was a 26-footer, and I know neither size nor experience can always predict safety on rough seas, but it makes me wonder about how prepared they were for conditions out there. Were there enough life jackets on board, and why weren’t they being worn when things got choppy? I’m not blaming anyone, just trying to wrap my head around how quickly things must have escalated. It’s just so crucial to be prepared, even if things seem calm. Seeing Chris’s case has been a reminder for me about how unpredictable the ocean can be. Maybe more awareness and conversations around boating safety could prevent future tragedies. Thoughts?
