I’ve been following Karen Burger's case for a while and something that’s been bugging me is the stranger she mentioned meeting at the Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. Has there been any details or descriptions released about him? It just seems odd that a meeting meant for support and healing might have been her last social interaction. I know not everyone at those meetings is necessarily in the best place (understandably so), but it raises questions about whether anyone from that group was ever interviewed. It’s frustrating not knowing if this person is even under suspicion, or if the authorities could track him down. Also, that part about her being at the motel after she sent her family there is really strange. Does anyone remember if she had any known issues with her family, or might have had some reason to want them out of the house temporarily? So many questions and not nearly enough answers.

I came across Karen Burger's case recently and something that's been puzzling me is the role of her dog in all of this. Her friends emphasized how she'd never leave her dog behind. It's almost like this is an important clue being overlooked. For those familiar with New Smyrna Beach, are there any local shelters or places where someone might have spotted a small dog fitting Karen's description? Have there been any reports or sightings related to her dog since she disappeared? It seems like such a significant detail, and if we could trace where the dog ended up, it might provide some insights into what happened to Karen. Any thoughts or similar cases where a pet played a crucial role in solving a disappearance?
