Has anyone here looked into the significance of that missing .22 caliber rifle in Mary Lou Boston's case? It just seems odd that it disappeared around the same time Mary went missing. Considering how much Silas valued his firearms, it seems like a big red flag. I've read some articles suggesting that Silas allegedly confessed to shooting her, and it makes me wonder if that's the weapon he used. I sometimes wonder if that missing rifle might still be out there somewhere and could potentially link Silas to Mary's disappearance if it's ever found. Would love to hear what others think about the connection!

Has anyone else been puzzled by the missing .22 caliber rifle from the Boston case? It seems odd that nobody really dug deeper into this aspect at the time. A weapon disappearing could hardly be shrugged off as a coincidence when someone vanishes. Given Silas's background and later charges, you’d think this would have been a bigger red flag. I’ve been wondering if any searches were conducted in Northern California around the time of her disappearance or after his alleged confession. There must be someone who knows more about where that rifle went. Any theories or insights on this detail?
