I’ve been thinking a lot about the lack of progress in Joel Wells’ case. It’s been over four years, and it must be incredibly difficult for his family, especially considering how loved he was by those who knew him. The fact that no suspects have been publicly identified is truly baffling. With Beanie Wells using his platform and even offering a reward, I assumed there would have been some leads by now. I feel for the family – it must be so frustrating to have this looming over them without answers. The Akron community was clearly impacted by Joel’s loss, and it feels like we’re letting him down by not finding who’s responsible. For those who live in Akron, are there ongoing events or vigils in his honor that we could support? It might go a long way to remind the community that Joel is not forgotten and his case deserves resolution. If anyone has any details, please share.
