Wendy Susan Byron was 24 when she was last seen at her Glendora, California home on August 18, 1978. Her disappearance is described as suspicious; her car was later found abandoned at Ontario International Airport. At the time she went missing she was living with her husband, Robert Byron. He told authorities Wendy had moved to Ohio and changed her identity, but investigators have not substantiated that claim and he is listed as a person of interest.

In 2013 investigators searched the backyard of Wendy’s former home with cadaver dogs but no evidence was recovered. The case remains classified as endangered missing and is unsolved.
