It's curious that the search for Nan around Lovelock came up empty despite the credit card bill hinting at her presence there. The fact that her car was later found near Seven Troughs suggests she might have indeed made it close to her brother's place. This is just me speculating, but maybe the purchase was a red herring intended to throw off anyone looking for her? Also, can we talk about the empty cigarette cartons? What's the deal with them not being her usual brand? Could they have been used by someone else involved in this case? They seem super important but were they ever traced to anyone? It's so frustrating that those pieces potentially linking others to her case just vanished. This case remains so perplexing, especially with all the strange evidence.
Hey everyone,
I've been digging into Nan Cecile Dixon’s case, and one detail that's really baffled me is the abandoned Datsun. It was found by coyote hunters in a ravine four years after she went missing, almost like it was hidden on purpose. The fact that the car had been driven off-road but had scuffed yet intact tires seems odd. It makes me wonder if someone familiar with off-road driving could have had a hand in moving it there. I'm curious if anyone knows about the terrain near Seven Troughs and how easy it would have been for someone to maneuver a car into such a spot without damaging it more significantly. Could there possibly be a local who knew the area well enough to pull this off? Anyone’s insights on this are appreciated!
I was digging into Nan Dixon's case, and something that caught my eye was the supposed gas purchase in Lovelock. It's puzzling because if Nan made it to Lovelock, why wasn't there any trace of her afterward? The credit card charge seems out of place, especially since it was discovered months after her disappearance. Could someone have been using her card to throw off the investigation or even stage her disappearance? It's not uncommon for criminals to create red herrings to mislead authorities. Plus, with the Datsun later being found in such a suspicious state, it's hard not to consider another party's involvement. I've always thought this small detail could hold more significance than it's been given. What does everyone else think? Could the gas station have security footage or records from back then that were overlooked or lost over time?
