Hi everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the strange connection, or lack thereof, between Catherine Runte's disappearance and the home invasion she went through eight months earlier. I mean, is there a chance that the two events are connected? It seems odd that such a terrifying incident would happen just months before she vanished. Could she have been planning to leave because of fear from that event? Maybe she had someone helping her, or was possibly hiding something from that period? It feels like such a scary ordeal had to have left a mark on her life, even if just subconsciously. This might be a long shot, but what if someone involved in that robbery came back for her or something more sinister was at play? Just throwing some ideas out there since it feels like an aspect of her story that doesn't get enough attention. Anyone else have thoughts on this part of her timeline?
Has anyone looked into the traumatic home invasion Catherine experienced eight months before she went missing? It's so strange that the robbers were never caught, and I wonder if this could somehow be connected to her disappearance. We know she was handcuffed and robbed, which must have been incredibly terrifying and could have had lasting effects on her. Could there have been someone involved in the home invasion who had a fixation on her? It seems like a bizarre coincidence given the timing and the fact that no arrests were made. I think it's worth considering if there were any known suspects in that robbery who could possibly have resurfaced. And could her state of mind from that incident led her to make a decision to disappear intentionally? Such a frustrating mystery, especially with so many loose ends!
