Hey everyone, I came across Peggy Jo DeCoteau's case again, and something about the timeline is really puzzling to me. It's been over four decades, and we're still in the dark about what happened that night at the Big Sky Motel. I’m curious about the delay in reporting her missing—nine days is quite a long time, especially considering the circumstances. Has anyone dug into why Earl waited so long? It seems unusual given that he tried to contact friends and family before going to the authorities. Could this delay have affected the investigation's trajectory? Any thoughts or similar cases where a delayed report caused major issues? I’d love to hear what you all think.
I recently came across Peggy Jo DeCoteau's case and can't stop thinking about the situation with her credit cards. It's strange that not a single transaction was made after she went missing. If she had left voluntarily, it seems likely she would have needed to use her cards eventually. This makes me wonder if someone might have taken her against her will or if something more sinister could have happened. Plus, why did Earl wait nine days to report her missing? That seems like such a long time. Did they have a fight that night? I’d love to hear anyone else’s thoughts or theories. Could missing surveillance footage or witness sightings from around the motel back in '79 have shed some light, if only they existed?
