I've been following John Carl Marthers' case for a while, and one thing that really sticks with me is the sheer bravery he must have had to make it back to his apartment after getting shot. It's incredible that, even in such a dire situation, his instinct was to get back to safety and to his loved ones. I can't imagine the strength it took to focus on getting home to his wife. It haunts me to think of the fear and pain he must have felt during those moments. I truly hope that someone out there comes forward with the key piece of information needed to solve this case. John's family deserves answers, and a community should never leave these kinds of heinous acts unsolved. If you're from the Charlotte area or know anyone who was around back then, please consider spreading the word. Any small detail could be crucial.
