I recently came across the case of Charles R. Elmquist, and one detail that caught my attention was where his van was found. It seems odd that his vehicle was abandoned in a storage lot at the University of Iowa Hydraulics Laboratory, doesn't it? It makes me wonder if there was some kind of connection between Charles and the university or the lab itself. It's such a specific location, and I can't help but think there might be more to that part of the story. Was it simply a convenient place to leave the van, or could someone who worked there have known something about his disappearance? Has anyone ever looked into employees of the lab from around that time? Would love to hear others' thoughts on this theory!
