Hi everyone, I've been following the case of Theodore Jost and his mother, Marie, and something just doesn't sit right with me about the whole situation. Has anyone else considered the inconsistency in Charles Jost's claims about them traveling? I mean, how does a mother and son just vanish for decades without any trace, especially when neighbors have never even seen them leave? It makes me wonder if there was ever any actual plan for them to travel, or if that story was just a convenient cover-up. I can't shake the feeling that maybe there was never any intention for them to return. The fact that Theodore never applied for his own Social Security benefits is so suspicious. It almost feels like they were erased entirely from their own lives. Plus, finding bone fragments on the family's property raises so many red flags. Has anyone seen any updates on whether they were able to determine if these belonged to Theodore or Marie? I haven't had much luck finding concrete information on that, and it feels like such a critical piece of the puzzle. What do you all think? Any new thoughts or theories? - CuriousSleuther123

Has anyone come across any info about why Theodore never applied for his own Social Security benefits? It's pretty unusual given his age and service background. Maybe he was completely off the radar for a reason? Haunted by the idea that he's been untraceable all these years. If he was traveling as Charles claimed, there'd be a paper trail, right? Maybe there was someone else involved who helped keep him hidden? Curious if anyone has theories or if it's been discussed why Theodore never reached out for his benefits.

Does anyone else find it strange that Theodore never applied for Social Security benefits himself? It seems odd, especially knowing he was a U.S. Army veteran and likely would have been informed about these kinds of benefits. It's making me wonder if he even had the chance to apply or if something happened before he could. The fact that his disappearance wasn't noticed for so long just adds to the mystery. Could his family have been using this situation to their advantage? With how suspicious this looks, it just makes me wonder what Theodore’s life was like leading up to 1980 and if anyone outside of his immediate family might have been aware of his situation. Thoughts?
