Hey everyone, I recently dug into Karen Evan's disappearance from Anchorage back in 1980, and something that caught my eye was the upcoming visit from her sister in Canada. It seems like she was really looking forward to it, and this was supposed to be a happy family reunion. It's just odd to me that everything allegedly seemed normal with her communication up until she suddenly vanished. Do you think there's a chance her plans for that visit might've drawn some unwanted attention or been related somehow to what happened? Anyone else with thoughts on how common it is for family-related events to intersect with these cases?

Hey everyone, I'm just diving into the Karen Evan case and something has been bugging me. Has anyone looked into the weather around the time she disappeared in Anchorage back in May 1980? I’ve been digging through old reports and May in Alaska can be unpredictable with late snowstorms and sudden weather changes. Could this have played a role in her disappearance or at least contributed to any difficulties in the search efforts at that time? From what I’ve gathered, these conditions could have made it harder for search teams and investigators. Just thinking out loud here – any thoughts or additional info on how search efforts might have been impacted by the weather?
