Does anyone else find it strange that Florence Coker's bronze Chevy Malibu was found parked near the Bayfront Center? I mean, it's a pretty public place and not exactly close to where she lived in Crystal River. Why there of all places? Did she have any connections to St. Petersburg or the Bayfront Center specifically? It's just odd that the car was there for 11 days before anyone realized it. Also, with $1,000 in cash missing, you'd think if she met with foul play, someone might've targeted that money too. Anyone know if there were any events or anything happening at the Bayfront around the time she disappeared? It might help narrow down who could have seen something or even interacted with her. Just throwing thoughts out there—it just seems like this detail hasn't really been talked about much. Any locals with insight?

Hey everyone, just stumbled across this case and can't stop thinking about Florence Anne Coker. Has anyone else considered the fact that her bronze Chevy Malibu was found so far from her last known location? The distance from Crystal River to St. Petersburg is pretty significant. If she really was planning to disappear on her own, why leave her car in such a public place? It almost feels like someone else might have moved it to throw off the investigation or make it look like she simply skipped town. If anybody's local to the area or familiar with any similar cases from the '80s, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

I was digging through some old newspaper archives on Florence Anne Coker's disappearance, and I stumbled upon an interesting detail that doesn't seem to have been widely discussed. In one article from late July 1981, it mentioned that a local resident claimed they saw a woman resembling Florence around the Bayfront Center area not long before her car was found. This witness described her as looking "disoriented" and "anxious." What's puzzling me is why this potential sighting didn’t lead to more investigation or public attention. Was this lead followed up properly by law enforcement? Given how close it was to where the car was discovered, it feels like something significant might have been missed there. Does anyone know if this lead went anywhere, or if it was just dismissed at the time? It's strange how these small details can sometimes slip through the cracks in these cases.
