The sighting of Phillip at the Adolphus Hotel always intrigued me. Why would someone struggling financially end up at such a fancy place? It's not cheap, especially for someone supposedly trying to disappear. Does this suggest he might have been with someone who could help him, maybe an acquaintance or even someone who might have known him from his military days? Hotels like the Adolphus have always been places where you can be seen and disappear at the same time. It's as though he wanted to be found and lost simultaneously. What are the chances he might have been contacting someone from his past military connections who could help him start over? It's such a puzzle. I'm curious if there's any record of whether anyone else from his regiment was also in Dallas around that time. It might be a long shot, but these connections sometimes reveal more than we expect. Thoughts?
